Small Group Resource

The fall is a great time to launch new small groups. It can be challenging to find a resource that works for a new group. You might not want a heavy Bible study, or a topical study that could create tension and conflict. For a new group, a resource that promotes conversation, while studying scripture, would be a good way to go.

I have such a resource. My e-book For Discussion is a discussion-based small group resource great for youth groups and adult groups. Each small group discussion guide has a scripture focus, an activity, and a set of questions to spark conversation. I designed the resource to be used by anybody at any time. There is very low prep. The guides can also be used in various settings. Use them at the beginning of meetings, during a fall staff retreat, or when people gather.

What Others Are Saying

“This study guide is perfect for the novice bible study facilitator to the experienced. The questions are fresh and offer new insight that will lead to reflective adventures with the biblical text.”

Rev. Lisa McGehee, Ordained deacon and member in full connection of the Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and executive pastor, Good Shepherd UMC, Henrico, Virginia

For Discussion is a great small group guide. With engaging questions and opening activities, it gives a leader everything they need to lead fruitful discussions. Jason has chosen 12 topics that are very relevant to both those new to the faith and to those that consider themselves seasoned disciples. With scripture readings for each topic, it’s an easy-to-use discussion guide. When I’m looking for curriculum, this is exactly the kind I look for!”

Shawn Kiger, Director of youth and family ministries, Wright’s Chapel UMC, Ladysmith, Virginia

“Jason has created a fantastic resource for ministers and lay leaders alike. If you need ideas for a small group activity, whether for one session or multiple, this book has you covered. Grounded in scripture, this resource helps you create engaging small group meetings to help your group grow spiritually and relationally.”

Rev. Tracie Barrett, Unitarian Universalist Minister, Orlando, Florida
